Customizing Product Recommendations

By default, the HeiChat AI learns about all the products in your store to provide relevant recommendations based on customer inquiries. However, we understand that every store has a unique sales strategy, so we provide advanced settings to customize this behavior.

Option 1: Disable All Product Recommendations

Some merchants prefer to use the AI exclusively for customer service tasks (like answering order status questions or explaining store policies) and do not want it to handle product-related questions.

For these stores, we provide an option to completely turn off the AI's ability to recommend products. You can find this toggle in Setup > Advanced Settings.

Option 2: Only Recommend In-Stock Products

By default, our AI is encouraged to recommend products to customers even if they are temporarily out of stock. For best-selling items, many customers are willing to wait, and our AI can notify them when the product is available again.

However, some merchants feel that recommending an unavailable item is not ideal. We support both strategies. You can configure the AI to only recommend products that are currently in stock. This option is also available in Setup > Advanced Settings.
