- Thank you for having me today! I'm thrilled to be here in the vibrant yellow room, offering a different perspective on digital marketing. As the CEO of Smart Marketer, an online training and education company, our approach is to serve the world unselfishly and profit. Today, I'll delve into the tactical aspects of using video in Facebook advertising, drawing from our successful strategies. I'll share insights from two case studies, one from Boom by Cindy Joseph, an e-commerce company, and another from Smart Marketer, focusing on information products. Both businesses have thrived due to effective Facebook advertising. One key to success is crafting compelling offers that resonate with your target audience. At Smart Marketer and our sister companies, we emphasize creating valuable offers that clearly communicate benefits. Additionally, establishing a strong brand voice, like Boom's pro-age philosophy, helps differentiate our businesses and resonate with our audience.

How Women Connect with Brands and Marketing Strategies for Customer Acquisition
- At the core, the reason why women resonate with a brand is crucial to its success. Smart Marketer believes in serving people rather than just focusing on profit. It's important to align your brand values with what you offer in your marketing. One successful campaign example is from Boom by Cindy Joseph, aimed at customer acquisition. By offering valuable content like 'Five Makeup Tips for Older Women' in a pre-sale article, they were able to acquire over 13,000 customers at a cost per acquisition of $45. This high-performing campaign, with a daily spend of $20,000 to $30,000, resulted in revenue exceeding $1 million. The focus on educating and building trust through content before pitching products has been a winning strategy for this brand, leading to a 30-40% repeat customer rate.

The Art of Targeting in Facebook Ad Campaigns
- When it comes to creating effective Facebook ad campaigns, targeting plays a crucial role in determining the success of the campaign. Through meticulous analysis and strategic planning, advertisers can reach their desired audience with precision. In a recent campaign, the advertiser adopted a simplified campaign structure with fewer ad sets and ads, which surprisingly proved to be more effective for their specific purpose. The performance was consistent across all ad sets, indicating a strong offer and product appeal to a broad audience. The targeting strategy included various approaches such as broad audience targeting, super lookalike audiences, and interest targeting. The use of variable lookalike audiences, based on specific buyer behaviors, showcased promising results. In addition, leveraging data-rich audiences such as customers from the initial months of Covid-19 for lookalike targeting proved successful. Interest targeting, although often overlooked, can be a powerful tool when done right. By identifying unique interests that competitors may have missed, advertisers can tap into niche audiences effectively. The campaign also ventured into broader behaviors and interests, showcasing the importance of understanding the audience profile for optimal targeting. Overall, a well-crafted targeting strategy, combining various approaches tailored to the audience, can significantly enhance the performance of Facebook ad campaigns.

Revolutionizing Advertising Strategies: A Closer Look at User Generated Content and Traditional Ads
- Let's delve into the advertising aspect now and explore the intriguing dynamics at play. The full videos, most of which exceed seven minutes, are a pleasant surprise for many viewers. To watch these engaging videos and other ads currently in circulation, simply visit the Facebook ad library and search for 'Boom by Cindy Joseph'. In this particular campaign, there were a total of eight ads, with five of them categorized as user generated content, also known as native advertising. This entails the use of compelling videos featuring real customers in our ads, a concept that may not be unfamiliar to most. We have implemented an ambassador program that empowers our customer service team to connect with our top customers, offering them complimentary products, a trendy ring light, and a camera to capture authentic and heartfelt videos for our ads. Approximately 80% of our ads, spanning all brands, leverage user generated content or native elements, seamlessly blending into the news feed without appearing overtly like ads. Our strategy remains consistent across the board, introducing viewers to remarkable women like Lisa, Tori, Janice, Sharon, and Christine through seven-minute videos showcasing their makeup routines and how it has positively impacted their lives. These narratives resonate well with the audience, propelling our paid traffic efforts to new heights. Our UGC ads follow a structured format comprising three sections: love, demo, and love. 'Love' features testimonials, 'demo' showcases product demonstrations, and the final 'love' segment presents additional testimonials or a collage of them. To combat ad fatigue and keep our content fresh, we rotate the initial testimonial in the 'love' section while maintaining consistency in the 'demo' and final 'love' segments. In addition to user generated content, we continue to utilize traditional direct response ads, such as simple product photography and text-heavy GIFs. While these ads have shown decent performance and garnered substantial social proof, they are not as effective as user generated content. Nonetheless, there seems to be a resurgence in classic advertising methods, which we intend to explore further based on evolving trends and data insights.

Mastering Facebook Advertising: A Deep Dive Into Targeting Strategies
- In a recent live session within a Facebook group, we delved into the impact of a major industry change, exploring both the opportunities and challenges it presented. Our focus was on optimizing our Facebook ad campaigns for maximum effectiveness. We ran multiple campaigns for our offer, including retargeting warm audiences and targeting cold traffic with different interests. This meticulous approach led us to create 25 ad sets targeting various interests within the marketing industry. Additionally, we utilized look-alike audiences and segmented our campaigns for retargeting, interest targeting, and broad targeting. By honing in on where our audience spends their time and what interests them, we were able to craft targeted ads that resonated with them. The key was research – understanding our audience's preferences, tools, influencers, and communities to tailor our messaging effectively.
